Live Bird Songs via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth

The Terra Station is much more than a classic recording device:
It captures the entire acoustic environment and transmits the sounds via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth directly to connected speakers or headphones. This way, you can listen live from anywhere to what is happening in your garden or study area – whether it's active songbirds in the morning or migrating species at night.

Through intelligent signal processing, human voices are masked, ensuring privacy is maintained. Only you have access to the live audio feed from your station.

Automatic Bird Identification via the Terra App

Identified bird calls are transmitted to a central database for analysis. Through the free Terra App (Android & iOS), you receive real-time information about which species has just been recognized.
Even without ornithological knowledge, data on biodiversity and bird occurrences can be collected around the clock. The app also provides background information on each documented species.

Integrated Motus Antenna for Detecting Tagged Birds

The Terra Station features a built-in Motus antenna that can detect birds with radio transmitters within a radius of approximately 500 m.
For greater ranges, an optional extension antenna is available, capable of receiving signals over 2–10 km – ideal for research stations, monitoring projects, or protected areas.

Flexible Installation – Robust, Compact, and Weatherproof

The station can be easily inserted into the ground or attached to a wall mount using a magnet system. The specially designed magnet ensures a secure hold even in wind and weather while allowing for quick relocation.

A direct power connection is required for operation; optional solar panels are expected to be available in the future. Integration into a Wi-Fi network is mandatory. If needed, additional antennas can be used to enhance the network's range.
Integrated sensors also measure temperature, humidity, and soil moisture around the station.

A Global Citizen Science Project

The Terra Project connects people worldwide with nature while creating a large network of measurement stations. The collected data provides valuable insights into bird distribution, migration patterns, and population development – an innovative contribution to species conservation.
