The new Brenneke OpalMagnum in caliber 12/76 sets worldwide standards for shotgun slugs. Equipped with a solid 43.0 g (666 grs) projectile, this special cartridge unleashes an extraordinarily impressive performance. With a muzzle velocity (V0) of 491 m/s, it achieves a gigantic 5,184 Joules of energy. Even at a distance of 100 meters, there are still considerable 2,173 Joules available.

The outstanding precision is a key feature: group sizes of under 10 cm at 5 shots at 100 m are values that far exceed the average, making the OpalMagnum the first choice for long shots.
Optimized twist transfer and barrel protection

The unique design of the projectile, recognizable by the wide and left-directed ribs, ensures optimal transfer of the twist. As a result, this cartridge unleashes its full precision potential primarily when fired from rifled shotgun barrels. However, it can also be fired effortlessly from shotguns with smoothbore barrels.

The special coating of the projectile head is a crucial detail, as it significantly reduces lead fouling in the barrel, thus contributing to the preservation of your weapon.

⚠️ Important safety notice:

Due to the specific rib shape, the OpalMagnum MUST NOT be used in barrels with any type of choke!
