The F-Series expands Walther's successful PDP pistol line and once again sets standards in the world of duty pistols. The PDP F-Series is the first service pistol explicitly designed for women and smaller hands. Uncompromising and completely re-engineered, its locking mechanism with in-line striker ensures the lowest possible resistance during cycling.
Grip circumference, trigger distance, and overall grip ergonomics are tailored to the shape of the female hand. The uniquely shaped grip embodies pure Walther DNA. The enhanced ergonomics lead to perfect hand positioning, high on the grip, resulting in controlled shooting behavior with minimal muzzle rise. All other advantages of the PDP, such as the groundbreaking PDT trigger, SuperTerrain Serrations, or the Performance Duty Texture, are essential components of the PDP F-Series. The brand new "PDT" – Performance Duty Trigger – represents Walther's new and improved trigger system, achieved through a shortening of the trigger travel and an enhanced tactile definition of the duty pressure point. The result is a very distinct, recognizable feel for repeatable precision that will maximize your (self-) confidence. When you are READY to shoot, this is the trigger you want.
SUPERTERRAIN SERRATIONS
The SuperTerrain Serrations are distinctly designed slide serrations that allow for easier and quicker handling of the pistol. Instead of the usual depressions that are typically milled into the surface of the slide, the SuperTerrain design of Walther rises significantly above the surface of the slide, providing a new, more positive feel when operating the weapon.
Reduced Cycling Resistance
Completely re-engineered, the locking mechanism with in-line striker ensures the lowest possible cycling resistance. This has succeeded in reducing the effort required to cycle the weapon by 20%. By using a two-part striker, all shooters can experience the performance of the PDP with an intuitive, energy-saving motion sequence.
PERFORMANCE DUTY TEXTURE
The Performance Duty Texture of the PDP series offers a top-notch and equally functional grip. Its special surface structure ensures outstanding grip. With its characteristic tetrahedron design, it is not too aggressive and avoids skin irritation or "pulling threads" from clothing. The tetrahedron structure is the result of a long series of intense development and testing, in the field, under various weather conditions as well as at the shooting range. Ergonomics: Perfectly Designed for Female Shooters
The grip of the F-Series is ideal for smaller hands. Adapted for the female hand, it is narrower where it is advantageous. This allows female shooters – and shooters with, for example, shorter fingers – maximum control and faster follow-up shots.
The RDS (Red Dot Sight) ergonomics of the Walther PDP make the transition to popular red dot sights easier for new RDS shooters and faster for RDS veterans. The special RDS ergonomics promote the intuitive acquisition of the red dot. The shaping at the end of the grip provides support for the little finger and acts like an invisible guide. The grip angle of the PDP F-Series promotes natural pointing behavior and, in conjunction with the innovative RDS ergonomics, allows for lightning-fast acquisition of the red dot.
OPTICS READY
All models of the PDP F-Series are prepared for the mounting of red dot sights or other optics. All models are delivered with a cover plate for the optics interface.
