Technical structure & practice: The BREN 2 Ms is characterized by excellent workmanship: The housing is made of robust 7075-T6 aluminum, and the handguard is made of lightweight metal. Inside, a rotating bolt lock with six lugs operates, driven by a gas piston system with a short stroke. The gas system can be adjusted to several positions (model-dependent two or three) – ideal for optimizing function, e.g., when using a suppressor. The operation is completely ambidextrous, the safety lever offers a short travel and defined detent points. The bolt catch lever and magazine release are arranged similarly to AR-15/M16, and for left-handed users, there is an additional easily accessible button on the magazine well. The standard trigger is a pressure point trigger with a very short take-up and a crisp release at about 1,750 grams – a real advantage for the sporting shooter. The mechanical folding sights are robustly designed (model-dependent in polymer or metal construction). The continuous Picatinny rail at 12 o'clock offers the best mounting options for scopes or red dot sights, and additional rail segments and QD mounts allow for various possibilities to attach further accessories. The BREN 2 Ms is fully ambidextrous, the cocking lever does not move back with the bolt during firing and always remains at the front. The workmanship meets the high standards of European authority requirements – nothing rattles or wobbles. The barrel and gas system are protected against wear and corrosion by nitriding and hard chrome plating.
