This housing features an integrated 20 MOA rail, making it ideal for long-distance shooting in 22 LR. The Snake Fluted Barrel is screwed into the housing and increases stability between the barrel and the system. Like all Volquartsen rifles, this one is equipped with CNC-machined and wire EDM-reinforced components, as Volquartsen believes this is essential for building the best semi-automatic rimfire firearm on the market. The CNC-machined bolt features a round titanium firing pin and a tuned extractor for improved performance and function. The TG2000 trigger group offers a crisp, clean trigger pull of 2.25 lb. Both the pre-travel and reset can be individually adjusted by the shooter. The VF-ORYX rifle is housed in the ORYX chassis from MDT - perfect for shooting from the bench, bipod, or prone position!
What is the ORYX Chassis?
ORYX is a one-piece, integrated aluminum chassis and stock designed to enhance the consistency and precision of your rifle. From the forend to the buttstock, the ORYX housing is made from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum. Equipped with a free-floating barrel, a custom forend, an adjustable cheek riser, and a molded pistol grip, the ORYX Chassis is the most comfortable there is. It also features a .25" spacer in the buttstock for adjustable length of pull (LOP). Details side plates in alternative colors can be purchased additionally here.
