ThermTec now also offers its thermal imaging attachment Hunt 650 Pro as Hunt 650L Pro with integrated laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator.With the Hunt series, ThermTec has launched thermal imaging attachments that quickly gained popularity among hunters. This was followed by the Hunt Pro series, which has been optimized in terms of weight and size as well as sensor and image quality. Now, the Hunt 650 Pro is also available with an integrated laser rangefinder as Hunt 650L Pro. The device can be used as an attachment in front of daytime optics and as a monocular.

The Sensor
The heart of the Hunt 650L Pro is a sensitive thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 640x512 px. The pixel pitch is 12 µm, and the NETD value is ≤15 mK. This guarantees very good thermal differentiation performance, even under adverse climatic conditions such as high humidity or rapid temperature fluctuations. The thermal detection range of the attachment is 2,600 m. With its 50 mm lens, it has a field of view of 15.4x12.3 m at 100 m.

The Display
The improved 0.39‘‘ OLED display has a resolution of 1,920x1,080 px with a pixel pitch of 4.5 µm and converts the thermal data into detailed images using AI-learning algorithms. The self-learning image correction developed by ThermTec significantly extends image stability without manual calibration. The Hunt 650L Pro continuously learns from each individual correction in various hunting scenarios and optimizes the performance of the image correction algorithm. The image frequency of 50 Hz delivers clear and high-contrast images and reproduces the movements of the game smoothly without delay or freezing, ensuring precise target acquisition. It is compatible with target optics up to a magnification factor of 16x.

The Laser Rangefinder
The integrated laser rangefinder is placed outside the objective lens to avoid impairing optical performance. It has a range of 1,000 m with an accuracy of ±1 m. A newly developed algorithm allows for accurate ballistic calculations. In addition to the distance, the inclination angle is also provided.

The Device
The Hunt 650L Pro attachment is housed in a robust magnesium casing with a durable coating and is dust and waterproof according to IP67. The raised control elements are made of rubber and are intuitively accessible. The metal toggle switch on the side with the positions ON, STANDBY, and OFF can be quickly operated even in darkness. The device is recoil-proof up to a recoil force of 6,000 J. With its compact dimensions and a low weight of 463 g for its features, it hardly affects the balance of the rifle. The click adjustment is very finely adjustable at 1.1 cm at 100 m, allowing for precise tuning. One of the significant upgrades over previous models is the replaceable battery. With a quickly exchangeable spare battery, you can achieve a runtime of up to 10 hours. The battery can be charged in the device via USB-C cable.

Camera and Connectivity
The Hunt 650L Pro features a camera for photos and video recordings, which are stored on the internal 64 GB memory and can be viewed directly on the display. An automatically triggered recording by the recoil documents your shots without distracting your attention. The recordings can be transferred and shared via WiFi or with the included USB-C cable. The attachment can be operated via Bluetooth using the included remote control. This can be attached directly to the stock to allow for adjustments while aiming.
