AKAH collar made of yak leather

This beautiful yak leather collar with a sliding chain is round-stitched over an 8-fold braided polyester leash.
The reinforcements are made of contrasting pull-up leather.
All hooks and rings are hand-stitched.
Due to the two sewn and hand-waxed threads, the hand stitches of our AKAH saddlers are extremely durable - in contrast to a machine stitch.
Yak leather is three times as tough and robust as cowhide of the same thickness, yet still as soft as moose leather.
The Finnish tanner buys the hides directly from the Mongolian nomadic herders - without intermediaries.
This way, the nomads receive 100% of the value of their valuable product.
