With the Hunter Viper Gen 2, Nitehog presents a groundbreaking thermal imaging attachment that surpasses the already impressive capabilities of its predecessor in almost every respect. Specifically designed for hunters, nature observers, and tactical users, the device delivers uncompromising image quality, features intuitive handling, and is equipped with smart functions for demanding practical use.

Superior Image Details Thanks to 640 Sensor and Extreme Sensitivity

The biggest technological advancement of the Gen 2 lies at the heart of the device: the sensor. Instead of the 320×240 pixels of the predecessor, the new model offers a significantly higher resolution of 640×480 pixels. The fine pixel pitch of 12 µm remains, which, combined with the increased thermal sensitivity (NETD) of under 15 mK, leads to unparalleled detail recognition. This extremely low sensitivity allows the Viper Gen 2 to perceive even the slightest temperature differences – a crucial advantage when hunting wild boar at night or observing wildlife in dense terrain.

Despite the more powerful electronics, the device has become more compact and lighter: With dimensions of only 140 × 70 × 46 mm and a weight of just about 330 g (without battery), it integrates seamlessly into any equipment.

Smart Functions: AI Support and Documentation

The second generation of the Viper impresses with well-thought-out AI features that maximize your efficiency in the field: The integrated AI Rangefinder accurately determines the target distance, while the Hot-Target-Tracking technology automatically identifies and tracks the warmest objects in the field of view. Additionally, the recoil-activated video recording ensures perfect documentation by automatically saving the ten seconds before and after the shot – ideal for later analysis or as a trophy. Thanks to integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, images and videos can be shared directly via the Nitevision app or streamed in real-time.

The Viper Gen 2 is designed for the highest demands. The extended battery life of over five hours with a standard 18650 battery ensures maximum operational duration.
