Blaser System R8 Professional 2.0 Silence / Dark Olive

System and Stock – here in Dark Olive – the Blaser R8 Professional 2.0 Silence, the successor to the R8 Professional-Silence with integral silencer.Blaser has made several improvements to their successful model R8 Professional Silence with the effective integral silencer, ensuring that the modules retain full compatibility with the rifles of the 1st generation. Here are some of the modifications of the R8 Professional 2.0 Silence, a robust repeating rifle that can withstand adverse weather conditions:
the system, firmly connected to the stock, achieves even better precision,the buttstock can be adjusted in length with two optional modules and its comb is height adjustable,the ambidextrous palmswell has been ergonomically optimized, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters,a new surface texture of the firmly attached elastomer grip inserts provides a better grip anda weight optimization of around 100 g increases maneuverability.
The Stock
The one-piece stock – here in Dark Olive – features elastomer inserts on the grip surfaces, which, with the new, improved structure, feel pleasant in the hands, even in wet and cold conditions. The inserts are no longer glued as before and thus prone to wear, but are an integral part of the stock. The pistol grip is steeper than in the previous model, featuring a palmswell on both sides, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The stock comb is adjustable by up to 30 mm at the push of a button, and the length of the buttstock can be varied with optionally available modules. The stock pad noticeably reduces recoil. The stock is designed to accommodate a barrel with an integral silencer.

The System
The system housing is firmly connected to the stock in the R8 Professional 2.0. This further enhances precision. The manual cocking system guarantees the safety familiar from the R8 by relaxing the firing spring. The tension occurs only immediately before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward. The straight-pull repeater is quickly reloadable, and the dry-standing direct trigger made of polymer has a trigger weight of 750 g.
