Integral SilencerAll R8 Silence models now feature an integral silencer (ISD) made from high-strength titanium, resulting in a significant material and thus qualitative enhancement. As usual, the titanium ISD ensures first-class balance in all models.Titanium is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance. With the R8 Silence, Blaser offers a comprehensive solution for all hunters who want to reliably protect their hearing and that of their dog at all times. The R8 Silence has the advantage that the significantly larger surface area of the integral silencer allows for faster cooling. The outer contour of the barrel and titanium silencer jacket is designed in a continuous, so-called "Bull-Barrel" design, which gives the R8 Silence its distinctive appearance.
The sum of its characteristics makes it uniqueJust as diverse as hunting are the demands of hunters on their hunting rifles. In a brilliant way, the Blaser R8 combines all the important characteristics for hunting in a unique overall package. Many essential elements have already been copied, but in the sum of its characteristics, the R8 remains unmatched to this day.
ULTIMATE Shaft Ergonomically perfect shaftingFor all types of stops, the completely relaxed position of the sliding hand and arm is ensuredThe annoying "mucking" is thus almost completely prevented
Illumination Control Weapon cocked = Reticle activeIllumination Control (iC) links the control of the reticle illumination of the Blaser riflescopes to the operation of the weaponA sensor in the eyepiece detects the position of the cocking lever and thus automatically controls the switching on and off of the reticle
Straight Pull Repeating System Lightning-fast shot sequences with a relaxed body posture: The chamber grip is positioned ergonomically perfectly above the trigger guard. The weapon and eye remain focused on the target. A significant time gain for reacquiring the target and ensuring a safe shot.
Blind Magazine Change Simple and quick: The release buttons are ideally positioned above the trigger guard and can therefore be felt for blindly. When both buttons are pressed, the magazine jumps directly into the hand due to spring force. In a flash and without looking, a second loaded magazine can be inserted.
Double Loading CapabilityLoading or unloading is possible not only with the magazine removed but also with the magazine in the weapon. With the bolt open, cartridges can be pressed into the magazine from above or removed.
Blaser Precision Trigger The excellent, crisp characteristic of the R8 trigger is the perfect prerequisite for the precise shot.
Blaser Saddle MountingThe barrel and sight scope form a consistently precise hitting unit: The mounting points are located directly above the chamber. The barrel can oscillate freely, and the point of impact remains constant.
Optimal Running BedThe large running bed exclusively in the solid housing is the solid guarantee for the highest repeat accuracy after the running change.
Blaser Radial Locking SystemStability and reliable shooting performance: The extremely strong, uniformly supporting lock engages directly in the barrel without any rotational movement.
Barrel & Chamber HammeredNot only the barrels but also the chambers are cold hammered. The barrel and chamber are thus perfectly concentric.
Accurate StockThe relaxed position of the shooting hand significantly reduces the risk of flinching. Blaser stocks with pronounced handball shape and optimal contouring provide an ideal grip feel. The hole stocks of the R8 Success and R8 Ultimate models take this a step further: Thanks to the completely relaxed position of the shooting hand and arm, the accuracy of the shooter is significantly supported in every shooting position.
