The silencer cleaner from Ballistol automatically dissolves and neutralizes combustion residues. Silencers are particularly difficult to clean when they cannot be disassembled. Carbon silencers with narrow passages at the baffles and small holes do improve the performance of the silencer. However, cleaning the silencer has been significantly more difficult! With the Ballistol Silencer Cleaner, residues in the dirty silencer can be easily dissolved and rinsed out.

The application of the silencer cleaner is quite simple, as it works automatically and mainly requires some time for the action and dissolution of the dirt.

Disassemblable silencers and silencers that cannot be sealed are placed in the silencer cleaner. With normal contamination, the residues in the silencer are dissolved after about 2 hours. After that, you can rinse out the dissolved dirt with a brush and water. The silencer cleaner is also suitable for an ultrasonic bath.

Non-disassemblable silencers should be sealed on one side. For this, conical muzzle plugs are suitable, for example. Once the silencer is sealed, simply fill it completely with silencer cleaner. With normal contamination, the residues are dissolved after about two hours. Let the cleaner drain out and fill the silencer halfway with water. Hold/close the opening and shake vigorously. For more intense contamination, the effect can be increased by warming the cleaner to 40 °C before application and extending the exposure time to four to eight hours. If extreme contamination or several hundred shots have been fired with the silencer, the exposure time can also be increased to 24 hours.

As soon as impurities in the silencer are dissolved and neutralized, the silencer cleaner indicates this by a color change.

After cleaning, it is recommended to use a gun oil to preserve the surface of the silencer.
