The Hege AP 66 is a semi-automatic pistol in caliber 7.65 mm Browning (.32 ACP). It was marketed in the 1960s by Hege Waffen in Germany, but is based on the Hungarian FEG AP 66, a license-free development of the Walther PP.

Operation: Recoil-operated with fixed barrel and simple blowback system

Safety: Manual safety on the slide (also serves as decocking lever)

Special features:
The weapon was marketed as a cost-effective alternative to German service weapons such as the Walther PP.
The workmanship is robust, although simpler than that of the Walther PP.
Thanks to the blowback principle, the weapon is very reliable and easy to clean.
