The lever is precisely fitted to the rotating ring. If it does not sit correctly, it will not be able to be screwed on. The rotating ring of the CL42 (and similar models) is conical. Therefore, the lever must sit all the way back on the rotating ring. It has three holding surfaces at the bottom that prevent the quick adjustment lever from slipping forward.
