The new Thunder 2.0 models come as successors to the already well-known Thunder of the first version. Hikmicro has built a completely new thermal imaging attachment that really does not resemble its predecessor and has many innovations. The device no longer works with the small batteries (16340) or CR123 batteries, but is delivered with two battery packs and a charging station. This allows for a very high operating time of up to 10 hours. Furthermore, a robust magnesium housing is used and a connection thread with M52x0.75. Now, any commercially available adapter can be mounted immediately, and the spacer ring is no longer needed. Hikmicro as a brand is becoming stronger in the hunting sector and regularly improves its functions via app control and software. The hunter can also upload these themselves, and there is no need to send the device in for service.
