General description for all Haenel Jaeger 10 models:
The company Haenel has a long tradition in the manufacturing of high-quality hunting rifles and impresses with state-of-the-art construction and manufacturing principles.
The Haenel Jaeger 10 stands out for its excellent price-performance ratio and is 100% "Made in Germany." The Jaeger 10 is offered in various model variants, from the higher-quality Timber version in wood class 4, two variants with camouflage surfaces, three Varmint versions, as well as a short Tracker and a precision rifle. The stock of this leading repeating rifle features a straight back, with a long German cheek piece depending on the version. The synthetic stocks are made from the latest high-tech plastic. All metal parts are matte blued.
Female hunters can rely on a special ladies' stock. In this case, the buttstock has been shortened, the pistol grip is steeper, and a dampening butt pad reduces recoil. These features allow for a typical female shooting position. The bolt features six large lugs on the chamber head and runs perfectly in the system sleeve with excellent surface and sliding properties. The opening angle of only 60 degrees allows for both quick cycling and a very flat scope mounting.
The trigger is a fine trigger. By opening the chamber, it is automatically de-cocked. The removable magazine consists of a steel sheet body and holds 3 + 1 cartridges as standard. The rifle comes standard with a driven hunt sight with a luminous front sight. The safety is located to the right of the trigger and has a separate chamber lock that allows unloading in a secured state. The Jaeger 10 allows for the mounting of a Remington 700 mounting base. On this base, all Remington 700 mounts can be installed. Some Jaeger 10 models (e.g., Jaeger 10 Varmint) are equipped with a Picatinny rail as standard; this rail can be factory-mounted on all other Jaeger 10 models for an additional charge. This allows for the easy mounting of all common scopes.
