Robust adjustment mechanics for demanding use
The reticle adjustment towers of the DDoptics target optics of generation III are made of a robust aluminum alloy and are free of all plastic parts. All aluminum parts are coated with the new, non-glossy DDoptics "fine-black" anodizing. The adjustment mechanics have been switched to the tactical version, meaning they are not only very shock-resistant and completely waterproof, but also have a stiff operation, thus protected from unintentional adjustments. This allows the reticle adjustment to be used in hunting everyday life "open", i.e., without a screw cap, to quickly adjust the reticle depending on the situation.

Quick reticle adjustment with zero stop
On a double scale (Doubleturn) on the elevation adjustment tower, the number of clicks made can be read and adjusted accordingly. After zeroing, the reticle adjustment can be "zeroed". Subsequently, the zero stop ring is turned to the stop. The zero setting is then countered from below using the zero stop ring to achieve a stop at the zero position. Based on the zero position, various shooting distances can be pre-set using a marking system, assuming knowledge of the load. The windage adjustment tower is labeled with two opposing scales. From the zero setting, the reticle can be pre-set depending on wind direction and wind strength or any movement of the target.

New reticle 4 for minimal target coverage
When looking through the new generation III of the "Nachtfalke HDX" riflescopes, the viewer immediately recognizes the practical design: The crosshair in reticle 4N is much finer, and the originally somewhat thicker outer bars are now only half as thick and stand significantly further apart. A great advantage, especially for the hunter in poor light conditions, as the target is only minimally covered, thus optimally supporting a quick and secure shot. The illuminated reticle 4N is located in the ocular image plane (2nd image plane) and remains the same size during magnification changes. No tools are needed to adjust the reticle. The riflescope features a tactical 0.1 MRAD adjustment, meaning the reticle adjusts by 0.1 MRAD, or 1 cm at 100 m, per click. This means simple application in the decimal system for users in Europe. The click adjustment works absolutely repeatably and can be reset to zero after zeroing (in case multiple loads are used).
Total adjustment range:
18.4 MRAD – 184 clicks – 1.84 m
Adjustment per click at 100 m: 1 cm
Adjustment per click at 200 m: 2 cm
Adjustment per click at 300 m: 3 cm
Adjustment per click at 600 m: 6 cm
The laterally mounted, continuously adjustable parallax compensation (20 yards to infinity) protects against angled views and also ensures a sharp and fatigue-free image at all magnification settings.
