True internal focusing central diopter
The diopter adjustment is a true internal focusing, making the SHG binoculars robust, waterproof, and dustproof. The diopter is fixed adjustable.

Field flattener (see last image)
Generous fields of view, razor-sharp to the edge with almost no distortion. Field-flattener eyepieces shift the focal points of the Petzval field curvature so that they lie in the same plane.

High resolution
Like no other binocular, the SHG series from DDoptics combines an extremely high image resolution with detail sharpness to the very edge of the field of view. Stray light and chromatic aberrations are almost completely suppressed through the use of elaborate processes and the highest quality materials.

Non-slip focusing wheel
Not too light and not too stiff, the focus point can be perfectly adjusted. The adjustment path is deliberately chosen to be slightly longer, ensuring that the adjustment of absolute visual sharpness is always successful.

Transmission
The SHG binoculars offer the highest possible light transmission of up to 93% (90%-91% night value and 93% maximum measured value during the day) as well as a completely new viewing experience of color brilliance, contrast, and brightness. This is made possible by a newly developed FLK glass material from Japan, the coating of the prisms with a dielectric, and a newly developed coating. Field-flattener eyepieces reduce the distortion of the SHG binoculars in such a way that visible distortion is hardly provoked even in the edge area, without triggering the notorious globe effect.

Waterproof binoculars, fog-free and sharp focus from 2 m
The sharp focus on the SHG 10×42 works through true internal focusing. An object can be sharply captured from a distance of 2 m. This also works in heavy rain, which poses no danger to the binoculars. A nitrogen filling ensures that the SHG 10×42 is completely waterproof and fog-free.

Large field of view
The newly developed armoring makes the binoculars of the SHG series almost "stick" to the hands, making slipping or sliding out of the hand nearly impossible even in the rain. The fields of view of the SHG binoculars are also premium. 115.5 m at the SHG 10×42 impresses particularly with detail sharpness to the very edge.
