The limited Special Edition “Old Glory” has become a heartfelt nickname for the flag of our nation for generations of American patriots. Drawing from the legendary history of the famous “Old Glory” flag that belonged to Captain William Driver, Americans have found inspiration in the Star-Spangled Banner during difficult times. With the new “Old Glory” 1911, Auto-Ordnance honors the flag that has gallantly flown over our nation, the land of the free and the home of the brave in dangerous battles. Each Old Glory 1911 has this name engraved on the left side of the slide, with the quote “I am mighty proud of this tattered old flag” on the right side. The grips are engraved with “USA” and 1776. Additionally, stars and stripes adorn the two aluminum grip panels. This stainless steel 1911 is fully manufactured in the United States. The finish features burnt bronze cerakote in a used look. It has an adjustable trigger, a skeletonized hammer, a full-length recoil guide rod, an extended beavertail grip safety, an extended magazine release, and a checkered slide stop lever. The ejection port is enlarged to ensure reliable function. Both the main spring housing and the front strap are treated with a checkered pattern of 20 lines per inch. The 5-inch match-grade barrel of each pistol has a chamber in caliber .45Auto.
