B&T AR9 AR15 Hydraulic Buffer

Function of the Component
The B&T Hydraulic Buffer for AR9 and AR15 is based on the proven recoil damping technology from B&T's semi-automatic weapon platforms. The hydraulic design effectively absorbs recoil forces and dampens the impulse during the cycling process. This results in a noticeably softer shot release, shorter target acquisition, and reduced stress on the weapon and its components.

Compatibility
The hydraulic buffer is compatible with AR15 systems in caliber .223 Rem. as well as AR9 platforms in caliber 9x19 mm that are based on the AR standard. It fits into all standard carbine buffer tubes (Mil-Spec and Commercial-Spec) and can be used in weapons designed for the use of carbine-length buffers.

Assembly/Belonging
The component belongs to the recoil damping and closing system assembly (Buffer Assembly) and replaces the conventional mechanical standard buffer. It is installed in conjunction with the buffer spring in the stock of the weapon.

Material & Manufacturing
The B&T Hydraulic Buffer consists of a robust aluminum housing with precise CNC machining. The internal hydraulic unit is specifically designed for continuous operation under high loads and ensures constant, maintenance-free function over many thousands of shot cycles.

Replacement/Installation Notes
The replacement is done by simply removing the existing buffer and inserting the B&T Hydraulic Buffer into the buffer tube. No modifications to other components are necessary. For optimal performance, compatibility with the used buffer spring should be checked. A check of the closing function and, if necessary, fine-tuning (e.g., for particularly light or heavy bolt groups) is recommended.
