Dewey Nylon Brush .243 (6mm) 1 piece pack Dewey Nylon brush suitable for Dewey cleaning rods from item no. DM22C.. Thread 8-32 Unlike the exclusive use of cleaning felts or patches, brushes reliably reach the field-ridge edges inside the barrel. Together with an effective cleaning agent (such as "Shooters Choice"), they are suitable for removing stubborn tombak residues from the barrel. Our Dewey bronze brushes are the ideal compromise between cleaning effectiveness and material preservation! However, "sharp solvents" like tombak remover can partially wear down bronze brushes over time. Therefore, nylon brushes are preferably used to introduce a solvent into the barrel, allowing it to take effect there. Nylon brushes cannot completely replace bronze brushes in cleaning effectiveness. They are a good complement and ideally suited for wetting the inside of the barrel with solvent or for quick (pre-)cleaning in between. All Dewey brushes are designed so that there are no sharp edges that could damage the barrel. When cleaning, they are pushed through the barrel in one motion and then, after all the bristles have completely stood up in front of the muzzle, pulled back in one motion (please do not scrub back and forth in the barrel). Rule of thumb: For each shot fired, there should be one forward and backward motion.
