B&T suppressor for APC223/300

The recoil damper – also referred to as a buffer or shock absorber – is a central component in the locking system of the semi-automatic rifles B&T APC223 and APC300. It serves to absorb and slow down the recoil impulse of the bolt after the shot is fired, thereby reducing mechanical stress on the housing, guide rod, and bolt components. Function: The damper absorbs the kinetic energy of the retracting bolt during recoil. This slows down the movement at the rear stop point and prevents a "hard stop." This increases the component lifespan and improves recoil behavior. Compatibility: The damper is specifically tailored to the requirements of the models APC223 (caliber .223 Rem / 5.56×45 mm) and APC300 (.300 AAC Blackout / 7.62×35 mm). The same damper is used in both variants. Assembly: Part of the recoil system, mounted at the rear end of the guide rod. It works together with the guide rod, closing spring, and bolt housing. Material: High-strength polymer core with integrated metal insert or damping insert (model-dependent). Designed for high energy absorption during repeated, dynamic firing operations. Replacement: The damper is subject to natural wear with intensive use. Cracks, deformations, or increased recoil stop are indications of a necessary replacement. The change can be done without tools or with minimal effort, but should be performed by a professional if there is any uncertainty.
