The locking system has been completely revised and offers soft and quiet cycling thanks to the fine polishing of all contact surfaces, which is unmatched. The new extractor guarantees clean function and reliable ejection even in the event of any deformation of the casing. Unique Locking Mechanism What truly makes the Mercury Tactical Evo unique is the construction of the completely above-stock locking mechanism. It is completely detached from the stock and is held only by two carriers. This prevents any form of connection stresses and thus significantly increases your precision. Multi-Radial Barrel Another special feature is the barrel: Through the further development of the award-winning Multi-Radial Rifling technology, the weapon achieves even higher performance levels. With Multi-Radial barrels, two long-proven designs are combined: groove-field and polygon. By merging the strengths of both barrel types, the lifespan of the barrel is extended, and quickly soiling sharp edges and corners are a thing of the past. A speed increase of up to 12% is achieved with standard pressures. The bullet better fills the barrel and prevents the escape of valuable gas pressure. At the same time, friction between the projectile and barrel is minimized. The special barrel geometry allows your projectile to exit more stable, faster, and ultimately more precisely. The barrel comes standard with a 5/8' x 24 muzzle thread, allowing for easy mounting of accessories such as muzzle brakes. Robust Safety The safety used locks both the trigger and the trigger block. It is a very secure system, as the locking of the trigger block is designed to be particularly robust. And when the trigger block is locked, the firing pin is essentially locked as well. Theoretically, a safety that directly locks the firing pin is safer, but due to the small size of the components, these parts are often less durable. Reinforced Plastic Stock The fiberglass-reinforced plastic stock has been specially developed for the locking mechanism. The surface is specially coated: it offers better grip, scratch resistance, and a unique, extraordinary appearance. Accessories can be quickly and easily attached to the muzzle thread 5/8' x 24 UNEF.
