The Halverscheid drilling in caliber 8 x 57 JR and 16/65 is a classic hunting drilling manufactured in Germany. Drillings are combination weapons with three barrels, in this case consisting of two shotgun barrels in caliber 16/65 and one rifle barrel in caliber 8 x 57 JR. Halverscheid was a German manufacturer known for high-quality, handcrafted hunting weapons. These weapons are often characterized by precise workmanship, high-quality materials, and often richly decorated actions. This drilling is perfect for combined hunting, where both small game is hunted with shot and large game with bullets. Drillings like the Halverscheid in caliber 8 x 57 JR and 16/65 are today collector's items and popular among traditional hunters. The shorter 65 mm shotgun cartridge has become rare, which is why many weapons have been extended to 70 mm. The barrel of this Halverscheid was made from "Krupp barrel steel" at Halverscheid Suhl. This offer includes a riflescope with pivot mount from B. Nickel Marburg in 3 - 12 x 56 M. This drilling received its proof in Zella-Mehlis in January 1934.
