The synthetic stock of the straight-pull repeater Blaser R8 Professional Success is designed for the toughest use under the most adverse conditions. The robust, one-piece stock with black elastomer grip inserts on the pistol grip and forend is very grippy even in wet and cold conditions. The Success stock design is ergonomically perfect and helps the shooter achieve a better stance—whether lying down, offhand, or supported. The completely relaxed position of the shooting hand and arm results in an immediate increase in the shooter's accuracy, and shooter errors such as the annoying "flinching" are almost completely eliminated. The specially developed butt pad for the R8 Professional offers excellent recoil reduction and great gliding properties. The Blaser straight-pull repeater system allows for lightning-fast shot sequences while maintaining a relaxed body position, without having to put the weapon down. This keeps the shooter's eye and the barrel of the weapon continuously aimed at the target. The time gained in target acquisition leads to a more secure shot release. The manual cocking safety system is considered one of the best safety systems. No other mechanical safety can provide the security of a relaxed firing pin spring. The R8 is deliberately cocked just before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward.To relax the system, a light pressure on the cocking slider is sufficient, and it glides back. At the same time, the weapon cannot be unintentionally opened, as the chamber handle is blocked when the bolt is relaxed and locked. If the magazine including the trigger unit is not in the weapon, the R8 cannot be cocked and is thus safe from unauthorized use.The magazine change is quick and easy with a short press on the two release buttons, which are ideally located above the trigger. The magazine buttons can be locked, preventing unintentional removal of the magazine reliably.The excellent trigger characteristics of the Blaser direct trigger with only 700 g trigger weight are the perfect prerequisite for a precise shot without unnecessary delay. The radial locking mechanism of the R8 locks directly in the barrel, ensuring stability and reliable shot performance.The Blaser R8 barrels and chambers are cold forged and are thus perfectly concentric. They are characterized by high precision and durability. The barrel surface is plasma nitrided and blued. The ball barrels included in this offer are manufactured in the standard barrel contour with a barrel profile of 17 mm at the muzzle in barrel lengths: 52 cm. Blaser B2 2-12x50 iC 5 with rail: With a total length up to four centimeters shorter than comparable scopes, the Blaser B2 scopes are extremely compact. In hunting, this short design ensures that an attachment device can be comfortably operated in the shooting position and that the center of gravity of the weapon is not unnecessarily shifted forward. Another advantage of the short length is the short travel distances of the moving lenses of the zoom system, resulting in better mechanical precision and more stable point of impact when changing magnification. At the same time, the mechanical robustness compensates for the additional stress on the scope when shooting with an attachment device.
