The Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black rifle in the Elegance configuration as a complete package with a branded scope. With the Elegance configuration of the Sauer 505, the name says it all. This starts with the classically functional Synchro XT Black stock made of polymer and continues with the DLC coating on the barrel and housing, all the way to the bolt with sunburst finish and the knurled chamber grip ball adorned with the Sauer screw. The complete package includes the following points:
the 505 Synchro XT Black Elegance in the caliber of your choice,a scope from renowned brand manufacturers, the Sauer 505 saddle mount, mounting, andsighting in.
The Stock
The stock of this rifle version of the Sauer 505 is the polymer stock Synchro XT Black. Its ergonomic design, which brings elegance and dynamism into a symbiosis, immediately catches the eye. You can adjust the stock to your personal physical needs when aiming and sighting using the height-adjustable stock comb. The stock length is 36.5 mm. Polymer is a lightweight and extremely durable plastic, allowing you to use your Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black rifle regularly in adverse weather conditions without damaging the material. With the Synchro XT Black stock, your Sauer 505 is literally an all-weather rifle.
The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The solid steel housing allows for quiet cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chamber operation. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond-like carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. Through a thin-film coating process, the coated components become particularly resistant and very smooth.
The Bolt
The bolt of the Sauer 505 repeating rifle in the Elegance version is refined with a sunburst finish. In this process, the surface is treated with a grinding wheel in such a way that a sunray-like iridescence emanating from the center is created. When you move the treated surface, the angle of incidence of the light changes, and the ground area seems to rotate in a circle. The ball of the chamber grip is knurled and adorned with the Sauer screw.
The Manual Safety
The manual safety is both comfortable and secure. In the Sauer 505 model, it has undergone further development compared to previous models, both in terms of usability and safety. By extending the cocking path, even less force is required. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock your rifle just before the shot, and just as easily, you can release it afterward to perform the unloading.
The Trigger
The Sauer 505 rifle features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break crystal clear, and you have exactly the individually suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key while the fore-end is pulled back. A precisely adjusted trigger prevents jerking during the shot and missing the target. The trigger guard is made of robust aluminum in the Elegance configuration.
The Magazine
The polymer magazine with a lightweight metal base is designed for the chosen calibers and holds between 2 to 5 cartridges, depending on the version. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock.
The Barrel
The Sauer 505 Synchro XT repeating rifle in the Elegance configuration is equipped with a cold-hammered barrel. This allows you to achieve highly precise shots. The muzzle diameter is 17 mm, and the muzzle is equipped with an M15x1 thread for a suppressor. It has a smooth profile, and its length varies between 42 cm and 62 cm depending on your caliber choice. The barrel of the Sauer 505 is effectively protected against corrosion by a DLC coating, just like its other steel surfaces. The stocks and barrels are also compatible with the Sauer 404, allowing you to use them with your old rifle.
The Scope
The scope is mounted on the Sauer 505 saddle mount. The repeating rifle is equipped with a device for this mount. Four discreet recesses at the level of the cartridge chamber hold it without tension, allowing the barrel to continue to oscillate freely. No further adjustments to the rifle are necessary. With this system, you avoid impairments caused by a mounting base. After the initial sighting in, you can easily dismount and remount the scope without affecting the accuracy. You have the choice between the following optics:
