The Stock
The stock of this rifle version of the Sauer 505 is the polymer stock Synchro XT Black. Its ergonomic design, which brings elegance and dynamism into a symbiosis, immediately catches the eye. You can adjust the stock to your personal physical needs when aiming and sighting using the height-adjustable stock comb. The stock length is 36.5 mm. Polymer is a lightweight and extremely durable plastic, allowing you to use your Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black rifle regularly in adverse weather conditions without damaging the material. The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The solid steel housing allows for quieter cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chambering. The surfaces of the housing and the chamber are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond-like carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. The thin-film coating process makes the coated components particularly resistant and very smooth.

The Manual Safety
The manual safety is both comfortable and secure. In the Sauer 505 model, it has undergone further development compared to previous models, both in terms of usability and safety. A longer cocking travel requires even less effort. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock your rifle just before the shot, and just as easily relax it afterward to perform the unloading.

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 rifle features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break crystal clear, and you have exactly the individually suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key while the fore-end is uncocked. A precisely adjusted trigger prevents jerking during the shot and missing the target.

The Magazine
The polymer magazine is designed for the chosen calibers and holds between 2 to 5 cartridges, depending on the version. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock.

The Barrel
The cold-hammered barrel without sights of the Sauer 505 rifle is fluted in the Highland package. This offers the advantage that the increased surface area of the barrel due to the fluting dissipates heat more quickly, so that even with high shot sequences, no disturbing mirage occurs. Another advantage of the fluting is the weight reduction. The muzzle diameter is 17 mm, and the muzzle is equipped with an M15x1 thread for a suppressor. Its length varies between 47 cm and 62 cm, depending on your caliber choice. The barrel of the Sauer 505 Highland is effectively protected against corrosion by a DLC coating, just like its other steel surfaces. By the way, the stocks and barrels are compatible with the Sauer 404, so you can use them with your old rifle.

The Scope
The scope is mounted on the Sauer 505 saddle mount. The repeating rifle is equipped with a device for this mount. Four subtle recesses at the level of the cartridge chamber hold it without tension, allowing the barrel to continue to oscillate freely. No further adjustments to the rifle are necessary. With this system, you avoid impairments caused by a mounting base. After a one-time sighting in, you can easily disassemble and reassemble the scope without affecting accuracy.
