The Stock
The stock of this rifle version of the Sauer 505 is the polymer stock Synchro XT Black. Its ergonomic design, which brings elegance and dynamics into a symbiosis, immediately catches the eye. You can adjust the stock to your personal physical needs when aiming and sighting using the height-adjustable stock comb. The stock length is 36.5 mm. Polymer is a lightweight and extremely durable plastic, allowing you to use your Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black rifle regularly in adverse weather conditions without damaging the material. With the Synchro XT Black stock, your Sauer 505 is literally an all-weather rifle.

The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The solid steel housing allows for quieter cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chambering. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond-like carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. Through a thin-film coating process, the coated components become particularly resistant and very smooth.

The Manual Safety

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break crystal clear, and you have exactly the individually suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key when the fore-end is pulled back. A precisely adjusted trigger prevents jerking during the shot and missing the target.

The Magazine
The polymer magazine is designed for the chosen calibers and holds between 2 to 5 cartridges, depending on the version. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock.

The Barrel
The Sauer 505 bolt action rifle in the Outback configuration is equipped with a cold-hammered barrel. This allows you to make highly precise shots. The muzzle diameter is 17 mm, and the muzzle is equipped with an M15x1 thread for a sound suppressor. It has a smooth profile without sights, and its length varies between 42 cm and 62 cm depending on your caliber choice. The barrel of the Sauer 505 Outback is effectively protected against corrosion by a DLC coating, just like its other steel surfaces. By the way, the stocks and barrels are compatible with the Sauer 404, so you can use them with your old rifle.

The Scope
The scope is mounted on the Sauer 505 saddle mount. The bolt action rifle is equipped with a device for this mount. Four discreet recesses at the level of the cartridge chamber hold it without tension, allowing the barrel to continue to vibrate freely. No further adjustments to the rifle are necessary. With this system, you avoid impairments caused by a mounting base. After the initial sighting in, you can easily disassemble and remount the scope without affecting the accuracy.
