The Stock
The buttstock and forend are ergonomically optimally constructed and feel pleasant in the hands. The straight-backed buttstock ends with an Inflex II recoil pad that directs the energy of the recoil away from the cheek downwards. This also minimizes the lifting of the shotgun. The pistol grip is designed so that the shooting hand does not cramp. The hand rests close to the sight line on the forend, allowing for good handling of the shotgun. The cap of the tube magazine can be easily unscrewed.

Trigger and Safety
The Maxus 2 Wood Ultimate is secured with a push button on the trigger guard. The unlocked state is indicated by a red marking. The bolt lever, trigger guard, and magazine window are sized so that the shotgun can be operated easily even with gloves. Like the predecessor model, the Maxus II Ultimate features the Lightning Trigger with a very fast locking time.

The Barrel
The Maxus 2 Wood Ultimate is equipped with a back-bored barrel. Its bore has a larger diameter, which increases speed, leading to better penetration. Additionally, this construction principle contributes to recoil reduction. The ventilated sight rail is 6 mm wide and features a fiber optic front sight. Like the chamber, the barrel is hard chrome plated on the inside, providing optimal corrosion protection. Included are 5 interchangeable Invector-Plus™ choke inserts. The barrel length is available in either 71 cm or 76 cm.

Power Drive Gas System and Speed Load Plus
The enlarged gas valves of the Power Drive Gas System for loads from 24 g to 64 g expel gases more quickly. The valve design also prevents the ingress of residues and ensures trouble-free operation. The extended stroke of the piston increases reliability with light loads. The Speed Load Plus quick loading system feeds the first cartridge from the magazine directly into the chamber and unloads quickly without the cartridge needing to be cycled through the system with the cocking lever.
