Description

Longsword with crossguard including scabbard from the 15th century. This two-handed sword from the late European Middle Ages and early Renaissance features a double-edged forged blade made of EN45 spring steel with a fuller. The full tang is screwed at the end of the grip.

The crossguard has a generous, inverted pommel and a ca. 19 cm long, slightly downward curved crossguard with D-shaped crossguard rings, all made of steel. The grip consists of a wooden core covered with leather and steel: While the first half, adjacent to the crossguard, is wrapped in black leather, the rest of the grip is wrapped in twisted steel wire. Including black wooden leather scabbard with mouth plate, throat band, middle band, and movable carrying rings made of steel.
