The Optics
The X-Tour 8x34 achieves its excellent imaging performance through its high-quality optics, delivering sharp, contrast-rich, and detailed images while maintaining neutral color reproduction. The close focus range is only 2 m, and the very large field of view is 140 m at 1,000 m.

The Housing
A robust magnesium housing securely encompasses the sensitive optics while being very lightweight, which is an important criterion for a hunting binocular that one carries in the field. Minox has always relied on a minimalist design, as seen in the X-Tour 8x34: two linear tubes connected by a narrow bridge with the focusing wheel. The reduction to a bridge facilitates one-handed operation. The instrument impresses with its ergonomically sensible proportions and feels pleasant in the hand.
