Pulsar Axion XG35 Compact

The thermal imaging device Axion XG35 Compact compresses the premium features of Pulsar instruments into a small space – and at an excellent price-performance ratioThe name says it all. The Pulsar Axion XG35 Compact is a thermal imaging monocular that can be taken anywhere with its compact dimensions of 167x49x73 mm and a weight of 410 g (without battery). You can use it for nighttime hunting as well as during the day to track wildlife that is hidden in the underbrush.

The Sensor
The Axion XG35 Compact features a high-resolution thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 640x480 px, with a pixel pitch of 12 µm. A NETD value of <40 mK ensures high thermal differentiation, low noise, and detailed images with high contrast due to its thermal sensitivity. The detection range of the monocular with its 35 mm lens is 1,750 m. The large field of view of 12.5°x7.8° of the Axion XG35 Compact allows you to maintain an overview and facilitates scanning for thermally radiating objects. This way, you can keep an eye on all animals, identify them, and then focus on those that have caught your interest.

The Display
The 640x400 px AMOLED screen is energy-efficient and frost-resistant. The helpful picture-in-picture (PiP) function shows you a zoomed-in image of the observation object in a frame in the upper display field if needed. You can enhance the sensitivity of thermal detection in three levels to differentiate the object and background even more clearly. Additionally, filter algorithms and fine adjustments of brightness and contrast improve the quick detection and identification of animals – regardless of the weather. Depending on individual needs and environmental situations, you can choose from 8 color palettes to adjust the image:
Hot White, Hot Black, and Hot Red are optimal for object detection,
Rainbow and Ultramarine for identification, as well as
Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet for nighttime long-term observations.

The Device
The Axion XG35 Compact also shines with its tactile qualities. It fits well in the hand, which does not cramp even during prolonged use. Its symmetrical design with the arrangement of buttons on the top makes it perfectly operable with both hands. Difficult environmental conditions are not an issue. The housing is made of a magnesium alloy and protects the sensitive interior from impacts, falls, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Additionally, the metal dissipates heat from the electronics, contributing to improved image quality. The device is waterproof according to IPX7 and can withstand being submerged in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. The Axion XG35 Compact has a ¼’’ thread for mounting on a tripod.

Long Operating Time
The APS3 battery allows for continuous operation of the Axion XG35 Compact thermal imaging device for up to 7 hours. The battery is easy to replace in no time. Charging is quick, either in the charger or in the device via USB Type-C cable. You can also permanently power the device via an external power source, for example, during stationary use.

Camera and Connectivity
With the integrated camera, you can document your observations and the tracking of wildlife with a resolution of 960x600 px as photos and videos. The internal 64 GB memory holds a significant amount of data. Using the Stream Vision 2 app – available for iOS and Android – you can connect the thermal imaging device to your smartphone via the integrated Wi-Fi module. This way, you will also always receive the latest software updates. Images and videos are transmitted in real-time to the monitors of mobile devices. Additionally, you can remotely control your Axion XG35 Compact through this app. By registering through the application, you will receive cloud storage to back up your data.
