When John Moses Browning designed the B25 over-and-under shotgun in 1925, he made history in firearms. Known for its robustness and shooting performance, this shotgun laid the foundation for the continuous development of shotguns at Browning. Inspired by the legendary B25, the B525 series offers numerous innovations while maintaining the essential design features that make it one of the most powerful premium over-and-under shotguns on the market.

Action and Locking Mechanism
The action of the Browning B525 Ultra XS Pro Adjustable is machined from a forged steel block. By saving 4 mm in height compared to previous models, the recoil is transmitted more directly into the shoulder during the shot, and the muzzle rise is reduced. The matte-finished steel action bears the name of the shotgun as well as intricately crafted ornaments framed by golden lines. The noble design, combined with the highest quality workmanship, radiates timeless elegance. The locking mechanism is top-notch and absolutely reliable: the shotgun locks using two parallel rear barrel hooks. A wide, flat locking wedge that engages across the entire width of the hooks significantly increases the locking surface and provides additional stability. The high-quality hinge pin also ensures a long service life. The hammer ejectors operate extremely safely and powerfully. They are based on the design of Holland & Holland, but modern coil springs are used for the hammers.

Trigger & Safety
The B525 Ultra XS Pro Adjustable from Browning impresses with its mechanical trigger, which automatically switches when the first lock is released and requires no recoil. The release of the second shot can occur immediately without valuable time loss. The trigger is maximally dry and releases at approximately 1500 g. Browning uses a modified Anson & Deeley lock here. The golden trigger blade can be adjusted infinitely in the longitudinal direction on its carrier. The sliding safety on the stock neck separates the trigger and the rod. Only after disengaging the safety does the trigger blade engage under the trigger rod selected for the first shot. An additional safety feature is a release lock that prevents the locks from being triggered when the system is open. The safety slider is also responsible for barrel selection.

Barrel Bundles and Chokes
The barrel bundles of the Browning B 525 Ultra XS are manufactured with a length of 76 cm or 81 cm. The ventilation of the barrels ensures optimal heat dissipation and significantly reduces mirage. The barrel is equipped with a 10 mm wide, ventilated rib that carries a bead sight. The top of the rib is finely guilloched. The barrels and chambers are hard chrome-plated on the inside, providing optimal rust protection. A special highlight is the Back-Bored™ Vector Pro™ barrel technology. The shotgun barrel slightly tapers from back to front, resulting in a smoother transition at the choke. This measurably increases shot speed, significantly reduces recoil, and greatly improves coverage. The externally located, extra-long, and interchangeable Invector-DS™ choke inserts have been specially developed for the Back-Bored barrels. DS stands for Double Seal, meaning double sealing. This innovation ensures easy choke changes, as it prevents fouling of the threads. The 80 mm long choke inserts are equipped with a brass sealing ring for this purpose. In addition to the identification by the inscription, there are notches at the muzzle that additionally mark the inserted choke.

Stock
The Browning B525 Ultra XS Pro Adjustable features an appealing trap stock made of class 4 walnut with textured checkering on the forend and pistol grip. The forend is optimized for trap shooting and supports the shooter in the ergonomic challenges of sport shooting. The adjustable comb allows for millimeter-precise customization of drop and cast, ensuring precise target acquisition. To emphasize the high quality of the Bock double shotgun, the entire stock is elaborately polished and oiled. The stock is finished with a 20 mm wide, elastic, and smooth Inflex™ II recoil pad, which significantly reduces recoil and simultaneously slides quickly and securely into the shoulder when shouldered. Optional interchangeable pads are available in thicknesses of 12 mm or 25 mm. For further customization, the buttstock of the Browning B525 Sporter Adjustable is prepared for a balancer.
