The lead-free Hornady Outfitter CX cartridges, here in caliber .30-06 Spring. with 11.7 g and 180 grs., were developed for the toughest demands.

Maximum corrosion protection, performance, and a convincing result are the best ways to describe the Outfitter CX series. The rifle cartridges feature a sealed interior and a nickel-plated case, providing ideal protection against moisture. The monolithic CX™*-bullet is completely fragment-free and offers an extended effective range, better precision, a residual weight of more than 95%, and thus also an impressive momentary and deep impact effect due to its optimized design. The shape of the bullet has been adapted to European chamber and barrel dimensions. Innovative relief grooves of the CX bullet improve aerodynamic performance while simultaneously reducing leaf deposits. The flat and heat-resistant polymer tip (Heat Shield®) ensures quick expansion even at low impact velocities. It provides resistance to aerodynamic heating and maintains a consistently high ballistic coefficient throughout the entire trajectory. This bullet is suitable for virtually all hunting and game types.
