With the Hornady Superformance V-Max in caliber .17 Hornet (1.3 g – 20 grs.), a convincing increase in performance is achieved, and the fur hunters will love it.
A speed of up to 60 m/s more than usual is possible with this centerfire cartridge, even without higher gas pressure, subjectively higher recoil, or louder gunfire. Even at greater distances, one can easily take an optimal shot with high lethality. The projectile responds immediately upon impact with the game body and disintegrates. Instant effect as desired, and the risk to the hinterland is kept to a minimum. Furthermore, fur hunters will get their money's worth here. Apart from a 4.5 mm entry hole, the specimens (in normal cases) show no further damage. Reloading is possible. Extremely burn-stable.
