The bullet made from a copper alloy (tombak) is designed for very good penetration, with high retained weight and exit wound probability, even with bone impacts. The flat plastic tip ensures reliable expansion of the bullet, even at lower speeds.
The novel relief grooves of the ECX bullet improve aerodynamic performance while simultaneously reducing barrel fouling.
