The "Victory V8" model series sets a completely new standard in the premium class of riflescopes.
The Zeiss Victory V8 4.8-35x60 M offers the highest detail sharpness, even at maximum magnification. With the 35x zoom combined with the reticle quick adjustment, the scope is designed for medium and long ranges, as well as for mountain hunting, and is perfectly suited for these purposes. Whether at the lowest or highest magnification level, the image sharpness and high detail resolution remain consistent. This enables extremely reliable target acquisition and ultra-precise shooting at great distances.
The brilliant image quality is achieved through the Ultra-FL Concept, which includes several SCHOTT fluoride glass elements for absolute color fidelity and clarity. Additionally, the ZEISS T*-multi-coating guarantees high-contrast images, especially in poor lighting conditions and at dusk. This technology is constantly adapted to new glass materials and requirements and varies from lens to lens. For clear visibility in any weather condition, the lens coating (LotuTec) also ensures protection.
Furthermore, the scope promises maximum brightness at any time of day or night, with 92% light transmission combined with the 60 mm objective lens.
Precision is ensured by the finest illuminated dot in the world, due to its extremely low target coverage. The illuminated dot covers just 3.3 mm at a target 100 m away. It is also very bright and finely dimmable, making it very helpful both during the day and at night. The multifunction button allows for quick and silent operation. Additionally, an intelligent motion sensor automatically activates the illuminated dot when the weapon is shouldered. This eliminates a potentially cumbersome action that could hinder success in hectic situations. The illumination is then automatically deactivated.
With a waterproof rating of 400 mbar and a functional temperature range of -25 °C to +50 °C, the V8 is extremely robust. The materials have undergone various tests, demonstrating that the riflescopes can withstand high pressure, shocks, impacts, and similar conditions without any changes in the shot pattern. Aggressive liquids or prolonged exposure to moisture do not cause the Victory V8 to rust or affect it in any conceivable way, thanks to its high-quality sealing.
This model of the Zeiss Victory series also features a quick adjustment for elevation (ASV H). In addition to zeroing, the ASV is used to compensate for bullet drop at long distances. At a distance of 100 m, 1 click shifts the point of impact by 1 cm, 2 clicks by 2 cm, 3 clicks by 3 cm, and so on. As the distances increase, this calculation no longer holds. At a distance of 200 m, 1 click changes the point of impact by 2 cm. At 300 m, 1 click makes a difference of 3 cm. Therefore, for example, 6 clicks at 200 m equals 12 cm. Or 15 clicks at 300 m equals 45 cm. The advantage of the system developed by Zeiss lies in the ease and safety of operation. The tedious counting of clicks and calculations, where errors can quickly creep in, becomes unnecessary. The adjustable knob features a distance scale that can be easily set to the shooting distance. This allows for always "holding on the spot" instead of estimating or missing an opportunity because one is busy calculating and counting clicks. This makes the Zeiss quick adjustment a fast and accurate solution that is safe and easy to use. For (one-time) adjustment of the system to different bullet trajectories, the correct distance scale is attached to the adjustment knob, or the corresponding distance ring is placed on it.
The riflescope described here is also one with a rail. Specifically, this means that a dovetail-shaped hollow rail is located in the lower part of the one-piece machined tube body. There, the mounts from various manufacturers are attached. This results in several advantages, such as the ability to quickly and easily change the eye relief. Unlike ring mounts, this does not create permanent pressure points or damage to the tube body. Generally, no mechanical processing is required on the riflescope itself, which not only looks elegant but is also the technically cleanest solution. Additionally, this type of mounting is recoil-resistant, completely stress-free, and invisible from the outside.
The Zeiss Victory V8 4.8–35x60 M is available both with reticle 43 and with reticle 60, both of which are illuminated.
The 60 reticle is ideally suited for precise shooting with minimal coverage of the game body.
The classic for fast, long shots is the reticle 43. The characteristic points of the reticle are exactly 10 cm apart at 100 m, allowing for very good estimation of distances.
The riflescopes of the Victory V8 model series are perfectly suited for the use of attachment devices.
