Description

The "Victory V8" model series sets a completely new standard in the premium class of riflescopes
The Victory V8 1.8-14x50 M is the ultimate all-rounder for greater hunting success. Whether on driven hunts, stalking, or sitting, the new riflescope from Zeiss has the right magnification for every situation. Thanks to the large field of view of 23 m at 100 m distance at the lowest magnification, the hunter achieves a maximum overview of the entire surroundings of the target. This also enables quick target acquisition. With the wide zoom range, up to 14 times magnification, the V8 is also suitable for shots at medium to long distances. Thus, it is probably the most versatile Zeiss riflescope.

Precision is ensured, among other things, by the finest illuminated dot in the world, due to its extremely low target coverage. At just 3.3 mm, the illuminated dot covers a target at a distance of 100 m. Additionally, it is very bright and finely dimmable, making it beneficial both during the day and at night. The multifunction button allows for quick and silent operation. Furthermore, an intelligent motion sensor automatically activates the illuminated dot when the weapon is shouldered. This eliminates a potentially cumbersome action that could hinder success in hectic situations. The illumination is then automatically deactivated.

Poor visibility is not an issue, thanks to the ZEISS T* multi-coating. This guarantees high-contrast, brilliant images, which are particularly advantageous in low light conditions and at dusk. This works through a technology that varies from lens to lens and is continuously adapted to new glass materials and requirements. Additionally, a coating of the lenses (LotuTec) ensures unrestricted clear visibility, especially in wet conditions.

Brilliant image quality is primarily achieved through the Ultra-FL Concept, which includes several SCHOTT fluoride glass elements for absolute color fidelity and clarity. This guarantees the finest resolution of details. 92% light transmission also results in excellent brightness.

With a waterproof rating of 400 mbar and a functional temperature range of -25 °C to +50 °C, the V8 is extremely robust. The materials have undergone various tests, demonstrating that the riflescopes can withstand high pressure, shocks, impacts, and similar conditions without any changes in the shot pattern. Aggressive liquids or prolonged exposure to moisture do not cause the Victory V8 to rust or affect it in any other conceivable way, thanks to its high-quality sealing.

The riflescope described here features a rail. Specifically, this means that a dovetail-shaped hollow rail is located in the lower part of the one-piece machined tube body. This is where the mounts from various manufacturers are attached. This results in several advantages, such as the ability to quickly and easily adjust the eye relief. Unlike ring mounts, this does not create permanent pressure points or damage to the tube body. Generally, no mechanical processing is required on the riflescope itself, which not only looks elegant but is also the technically cleanest solution. Furthermore, this type of mounting is recoil-resistant, completely stress-free, and invisible from the outside.

This model of the Zeiss Victory series also includes a quick adjustment for elevation and windage (ASV H+S). In addition to zeroing, the ASV is used to compensate for bullet drop at long distances. At a distance of 100 m, 1 click shifts the point of impact by 1 cm, 2 clicks by 2 cm, 3 clicks by 3 cm, and so on. As the distances increase, this calculation no longer holds. At a distance of 200 m, 1 click changes the point of impact by 2 cm. At 300 m, 1 click makes a difference of 3 cm. Therefore, for example, 6 clicks at 200 m equals 12 cm. Or 15 clicks at 300 m equals 45 cm. The advantage of the system developed by Zeiss lies in the ease and safety of operation. The tedious counting of clicks and calculations, where errors can quickly creep in, becomes unnecessary. On the textured adjustment knob, there is a distance scale that can simply be set to the shooting distance. This allows for always "holding on the spot," instead of estimating or missing an opportunity because one is busy calculating and counting clicks. This makes the quick adjustment of the reticle from Zeiss a fast and accurate solution that is safe and easy to use. For the (one-time) adjustment of the system to different bullet trajectories, the correct distance scale is attached to the adjustment knob, or the corresponding distance ring is placed on it.

The Zeiss Victory V8 1.8–14x50 M is available both in combination with reticle 54 and with reticle 60, both of which are illuminated.

The 60 reticle is ideally suited for precise shooting with minimal coverage of the game body.

The 54 driven hunt reticle is a special reticle from ZEISS. It stands for quick and secure hits with minimal target coverage. In addition to a fine horizontal line that serves for height correction when swinging along, it has a cross in which the ultra-fine illuminated dot sits. The cross aids in quickly shouldering and acquiring the target, even without the illuminated dot.

The riflescopes of the Victory V8 model series are perfectly suited for the use of attachment devices.
