The Woolpower Long Johns 200 functional pants are made of 2/3 soft merino wool and 1/3 synthetic fibers. This blend offers the advantage of being particularly elastic and durable, without sacrificing the thermal insulating characteristics of the merino fibers. These are knitted in a circular knitting process so that no longitudinal seams are needed, resulting in a breathable fabric with many small terry loops, which reduces heat exchange in the material and therefore provides particularly good insulation. It also allows the skin to breathe gently while simultaneously regulating body temperature and neutralizing odors. Additionally, merino fibers dry extremely quickly, making the pants ideal for sweaty activities.

Thus, the functional pants protect against cooling both during high physical exertion and at rest, and can be ideally worn at temperatures from +10° C to -20° C depending on the activity. The leg openings with knitted cuffs and elastic drawstring prevent cold from entering from below.
