This refers to a fluorine-rich glass melt from which lenses are made that effectively compensate for chromatic aberration. Chromatic aberration refers to color errors that occur due to the different refraction of the color components of light and are visible as color fringes along edges. With its ED lenses, the Terra binoculars deliver exceptionally high-contrast, detailed, color-accurate, and three-dimensional images.

The Terra ED 10x32 is waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging. Its housing is reinforced with fiberglass, which effectively protects the sensitive optics. The large, grippy, well-damped focusing wheel allows for quick focusing, and the ergonomic design lets the index finger rest naturally on the focusing wheel. The Terra 10x32 ED has a field of view of 112 m at 1,000 m.
