The lead-free copper bullet impresses mainly with its high effectiveness and uncompromising reliability, which makes the cartridge a popular hunting bullet.
The Barnes TSX is a lead-free expanding bullet introduced in 2003. The pure copper bullet is primarily characterized by its cross grooves. On one hand, the cross grooves in the bullet provide a higher velocity compared to comparable bullets without cross grooves. The increased velocity results in greater precision and hair cuts at the point of impact. On the other hand, the cross grooves reduce the pressure in the barrel. Due to the reduced pressure, there are fewer deposits in the barrel. After impact, the four-headed expansion ensures an ideal energy transfer in the game and generally causes a pass-through.
