A highly sensitive European thermal imaging sensor with a NETD of less than 25 mK detects minimal temperature differences when observing under low temperature contrast conditions as well as in rain or fog. The resolution of 640x480 pixels ensures reliable identification of the subject, high-quality visualization of important anatomical features of the animal, and the smallest details of the environment.
Largest field of view of 17.8° in the category of thermal binoculars
The 640 × 480 / 17µm sensor offers the widest field of view in the Merger LRF model range at 17.8 degrees. The wide field of view simplifies scanning and recognizing hot objects, minimizes the effects of image shake, and increases situational awareness. Excellent image details at base magnification combined with a wide field of view provide improved viewing comfort and better scene perception.
Built-in precise rangefinder
A built-in rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows for distance measurement in single and continuous measurement modes with an accuracy of up to 1 meter. This enables a quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
Comfort of observation with both eyes
The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars is perfectly adapted to the natural vision of humans. Since humans receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously, seeing with both eyes is less tiring than seeing with just one eye. This leads to better detection of small or weak objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to comparable monocular thermal devices.
The eye relief of the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm to accommodate the individual physiology of each user.
High-contrast HD-AMOLED displays
The HD-AMOLED displays of the Merger provide a sharp, high-contrast, and colorful field of view. The AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, smooth, high-resolution image while saving power.
Sensitivity enhancement in three levels
The selection of the signal amplification level combined with new filter algorithms and fine brightness and contrast settings offers great possibilities for observation from a distance under various weather and temperature conditions. The amplification setting helps define the trophy characteristics of animals and ensures a clear representation of objects and the background in the field of view.
A selection of 8 color palettes
A selection of 8 color palettes allows the user to better observe their field of view, optimize the device for specific tasks, and adapt to changing observation conditions. Hot White, Hot Black, and Hot Red are optimal for object detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of detection and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for long-term observation at night.
Distance sensor for concealed use
Observing in the dark requires a concealed approach so that the hunted animals are not startled by your presence. Normally, the "Screen Off" function in standby mode can prevent light from leaking from the eyepieces.
To simplify this, the Merger LRF has a built-in distance sensor. This acts as a screen switch to prevent light leakage in darkness. When the device is removed from the eyes, the distance sensor turns off both displays. When the device is brought closer to the eyes, both displays turn on with excellent image quality.
Dual battery system for up to 9 hours of continuous operation
The Merger LRF operates with two batteries: a built-in battery with a capacity of 4 Ah and a replaceable battery with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge ensures a battery life of up to 9 hours. With an imprint on the housing, the orientation of the replaceable batteries can be easily felt, allowing for quick and safe replacement in complete darkness.
Integrated photo and video recorder with 16 GB internal memory
The Merger LRF has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Merger LRF can store several hours of video material.
