As a novelty for summer 2022, the Walther P22 Ready is being released with a very clear message. An ideal concealed-carry pistol for everyday use, which draws on the technical safety of decades of innovation from the Walther brand and the associated reliability since the first sold Walther P22 model in caliber 9mm PAK. The Walther P22 Ready essentially replaces the Walther P22; however, the slide appears somewhat narrower due to the absence of the safety. The lack of a manual safety also prevents potential jamming in the holster on a jacket or in a pocket, and on the other hand, the absence of the safety aims to achieve a quicker readiness for use of the blank-firing pistol. The manufacturing and construction of the Walther P22 Ready are state-of-the-art and promise exceptional reliability and high manufacturing quality. Established features such as the external hammer, also known as the cock, the magazine release, and the classic grip remain in the new Walther P22 Ready model. Since this is clearly a defense weapon, the manufacturer has omitted the included muzzle cup, which can still be purchased separately.
