Böker Vigtig vs. Wild MagnaCut I Micarta

The Vigtig vs. Wild is not just a marketing product, but a knife with solid origins, based on the Böker Plus Vigtig. It is a robust knife equipped with a 4 mm blade in full-tang construction.

Dave Wenger, an expert in knives, created the basic design for this innovative new development. Therefore, the Vigtig vs. Wild is ideal for heavy-duty tasks, from carving to batoning. Thanks to its compact size, it also fits into the well-known Nalgene wide-mouth bottle.
Böker uses the specially developed Magnacut steel for the 4 mm thick blade of the Vigtig vs. Wild. This steel is characterized by a very fine structure despite its high chromium content of 10.7% and an impressive hardness of over 62-63 HRC, ensuring high toughness and shock resistance.

The blade with the True-Scandi grind meets every challenge: from fine cutting and carving tasks to preparing firewood, batoning, and chopping, to processing game.

The handle scales of the Vigtig vs. Wild, made from green canvas micarta, are flatter than those of the original Vigtig version and provide optimal grip even in wet conditions.
A special feature of this model is the two hollow screws in the handle, which replace the usual hollow rivets. These screws can be opened with a coin, allowing the handle scales to be removed. This reveals a spacious compartment that has a depth of 14 mm despite the compact outer dimensions of the handle. Various items such as tinder, charcoal tablets, tweezers, fishing hooks, and safety pins can be stored in this compartment.
