Description

Viking Sutton Hoo Sword from the 7th century. Detailed reconstruction of the Sutton Hoo sword with classic early medieval Germanic broad, straight, double-edged blade. The blade made of EN45 spring steel features a wide, double fuller that extends almost to the tip. The parallel edges are not sharpened.

The richly decorated hilt consists of several riveted parts. The wooden grip is covered with leather and adorned with brass fittings with an antique finish. The pommel base and crossguard are both constructed in three parts from a layer of wood between two brass plates. The upper cap of the pommel is made of brass and red enamel. The wooden/leather scabbard is brown with a wooden belt loop, a throat plate, and a chape made of brass in an antique finish.
