Description

Roman Xanten Gladius with scabbard from the 3rd century AD. This Roman sword is equipped with a blade made of EN45 spring steel that is neither hardened nor heat-treated. The edges are not sharpened, and the full tang is screwed at the end of the grip (brass nut). The grip is made of bone imitation, with the crossguard and pommel made of wood. The crossguard is equipped on the blade side with a brass plate. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and artistically decorated with brass fittings.
