John Lee Goemon Katana

John Lee Goemon Katana with a sharp blade made of 9260 carbon spring steel (not stainless) suitable for cutting tests, including certificate and saya. Crafted according to museum templates.

Ishikawa Goemon, a Japanese folklore hero. Similar to Robin Hood, he is said to have stolen from the rich and given to the poor. The tsuba depicts Goemon at his execution after a woodblock print by Toyokuni Ichiyoai. Along with other motifs, his name is also found on the fuchi in Japanese script.
