Gladius with sheath and strap

Gladius with sheath and strap with hand-forged carbon steel blade. The pommel and crossguard are made of wood. Grip made of bone imitation. Includes a red-brown leather-covered wooden sheath with brass applications.

Typical shape of a Roman gladius from the 1st century, robust and beautifully crafted. The original was found in the buried city of Pompeii.
