Viking longsword with scabbard from around 1000 AD with a wooden grip wrapped in light brown leather. The blade of the Norman sword is made of carbon steel with a finely crafted fuller. The pommel and crossguard are made of solid brass and are adorned with decorations. Wooden scabbard covered with leather and fitted with brass fittings.
Viking longswords were double-edged blade weapons from the Viking or early medieval period, typically used between the 9th and 11th centuries. Primarily used in combat, but also as a status symbol or loot in warfare. The Viking swords were generally among the higher quality swords of their time and were made by master blacksmiths with good quality.
