Germanic Rider's Axe with a blade made of 420 stainless steel and a wooden handle from the 15th century.
Battle axes were available as mounted weapons or foot soldier weapons in various lengths. They were, alongside the mace, the typical cutting weapons of the Renaissance. The sharp spike of the rider's axe could easily penetrate even thick plate armor.
