Monobloc
In conventional rifles, the barrel is connected to the system sleeve via a thread or clamping method. Steyr's Monobloc completely eliminates the risk of precision-affecting stress in this connection through its single-barrel system. The barrel and system are optimally concentric to each other, and by forgoing a mechanical connection, the system sleeve becomes incredibly slim. The cold-forged, seamless barrel-system unit impresses with its extreme rigidity and thus exceptional precision. Even with high shot sequences, this does not diminish, as the negatively influencing factors of technical connections are fully leveled by the single-barrel system. The ergonomic, modern stock with aluminum bedding completes the convincing picture of the Monobloc.
Set trigger and detachable magazine
The set trigger on the stock neck operates exceptionally smoothly and easily. The ergonomic design and the short trigger pull of 1 cm benefit every shooter. When the set trigger is in the rear position, the chamber cannot be opened. To open with the relaxed lock, there is a release button located to the right of the lock. The Austrian gunsmith installs a steel sheet magazine for four standard cartridges (three magnum) in the Monobloc. The shifted arrangement of the cartridges in the magazine allows for a pleasantly low construction height.
Set trigger with relaxation automatic
The rifle is equipped with a finely adjusted trigger that releases dry at approximately 580 g. Additionally, Steyr installs a set trigger that allows the trigger weight to be reduced to 200 g. If the set trigger is pulled back while the trigger is engaged, the Monobloc automatically discharges (with the chamber not opened). The entire trigger unit can be swung out of the stock with a simple press of a button.
Barrel
The barrel of the Monobloc is manufactured in lengths of 56 cm or 51 cm. The entire single-barrel system unit measures 72 cm or 69 cm and is standardly equipped with an M15 x 1 muzzle thread with a cover cap. The system sleeve and barrel are coated with a matte black, corrosion-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant DLC coating.
Stock modular system
Steyr's Monobloc features a green synthetic stock with distinctive black leather inlays. These can be easily removed without tools and can thus be simply replaced in case of wear or damage. The plastic stock impresses with its modern, ergonomic shape with a steep pistol grip and deep cutout. The back of the stock rises and directs the recoil away from the face. Even with bright, higher-mounted scopes, the cheek contact with the soft, cushioning cap remains optimal. The leather inlay on the fore-end provides maximum stability in the rest due to its flattened design.
